(Anchorage, AK) – Today, an Anchorage grand jury indicted 19-year-old Dustin Ruckman for causing the deaths of two Unalaska teenagers, 16-year-old Karly McDonald and 18-year-old Kiara Renteria, on May 9, 2019. Mr. Ruckman was indicted on two counts of manslaughter and two counts of criminally negligent homicide. In addition, the prosecution has charged Mr. Ruckman with a single count of reckless driving.

If convicted at trial, Mr. Ruckman faces a sentence of up to 20 years imprisonment for each of the manslaughter charges, up to 10 years for each of the criminally negligent homicide charges, and up to 1 year for the reckless driving charge.
